Nitmiluk Tours is a Joint Venture between the Jawoyn People, traditional owners of Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge.

Nitmiluk National Park is 32 km from the township of Katherine. A pleasant 30 minute drive on sealed road. Tours depart from the boat landing adjacent to the Nitmiluk Centre. Your cruise will take you through an environmental wonderland. Travel between sheer canyon walls and marvel at the spectacular scenery or just lean back and relax, letting the world go by. An experienced, knowledgable guide will accompany you through the tour, providing information on the extensive plant and wildlife in the gorges. Ancient Aboriginal paintings can be seen high on cliff walls and Johnstone freshwater crocodiles may be sighted.

Although the boats have shade, we recommend you bring a hat, sunscreen, camera and good walking shoes. Swimwear is also recommended for the 4 & 8 hour safaris. Allow extra time to visit the informative Nitmiluk Centre or take a refreshment break. Relax on the balcony overlooking the Katherine River.
* Transfers are available from Katherine.
* To experience the full magic of the Gorge, we recommend either the 4 hour adventure or 8 hour safari.
* Medical conditions requiring special needs; please advise your guide and have the necessary medication with you.
